Our company was founded in a region, Apulia, dotted with millions of almond trees, the fruit that we transform into wonderful sweets Pugliesi. In addition to sweet Almond the product is enriched with another specialty pastries to Butter: Canestrelli, baci di dama now gluten free! Today we are focusing on organic production: wholemeal biscuits, cereal bars, biscuits gluten to try to combine the sweetness with the well-being.
Ours is a family business. "Taste & health" is our mantra. Our father has been a pastry chef for more than 40 years and in his recipes he selects only excellent raw materials such as cereal flakes and stone-ground wholemeal flours, sunflower oil, extra virgin olive oil, rice flour and then the our beloved Almonds short chain. So his pastry art today is aimed at everyone: food intolerant, those with specific dietary needs or simply those who believe that good is the rule and the pleasure of every day. Ours is a family business founded in 1977, converted to organic production in 2007. In 2014 we obtained recognition for gluten-free production. We offer various product lines, many naturally gluten-free, resulting from the various passions of the founder, Mr. Giuseppe Povia. The line of almond sweets, for example, was born from the passion in transforming one of the fruits of our land, Puglia, into typical sweets called Marzapani. The same goes for the Apulian almonds covered with pure dark chocolate or the spreadable almond cream. The line of wholemeal biscuits prepared with cereal flakes and stone ground flours also occupies a prominent place in our offer. Our father, a pastry chef for over 40 years, studied how he could make cereals appetizing by transforming them into biscuits that are pleasant to the palate, crumbly and fragrant. It is my concern to point out that we are talking about 100% Buckwheat, 100% Millet, 100% Oat biscuits. In addition, the flours are wholemeal and from organic farming. Our Apulian Tarallini are also prepared with extra virgin olive oil and the beloved special flours from the Italian chain such as Millet, Saracen, Oats and Rice (without potato starch or corn starch). We would like to clarify that this is a salty snack GOOD FOR EVERYONE, and not just for those who are intolerant to gluten. These peculiarities are fundamental for new consumers, who are more attentive and with specific needs due to food choices not necessarily dictated by intolerances.
